Cognivue Chief Medical Officer Dr. Reina Benabou proudly partnered with Dr. Manasi Godbole and Dr. Mukul Singal from the Department of Internal Medicine at Rochester General Hospital and with Dr. Patel Mehul from the Lipson Cancer Institute, Department of Hematology-Oncology at Rochester General Hospital to analyze and share relevant data evaluating cognition in breast cancer survivors who received chemotherapy. The presentation took place at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium on December 10-14, 2019.
The session generated a lot of interest as there is much to be learned about cognitive issues in cancer survivor patients that undergo chemotherapy, "ChemoBrain," and its overall impact on daily life activities. The presented data indicates that Cognivue appears to be beneficial in its ability to detect early cognitive impairment in those patients, and such assessment could be helpful in developing a predictive algorithm of early intervention strategies for better patient outcomes.
